CJIS Security Settings

Prerequisites:
  1. User Permissions:
    1. Personnel -for setting user expirations.
    2. System -for configuring CJIS requirements.

Configuring CJIS Site Settings:

  1. Click Security > Settings from the System Module.
  2. CJIS requires the following to be enabled:
    1. Lock user after 5 consecutive failed login attempts.
    2. Logoff user after 30 minutes of inactivity.
    3. Passwords expire after 90 days.
  3. Specific transaction types can also be viewed from the transactions tab.

Setting User Expiration Dates and Deny Login:

  1. This message will be displayed to the user on the main dashboard if the Personnel > Deny Login with Expired CJIS Security Training user permission is enabled.
  2. CJIS Expiration date can be set on the Personnel Details for a specific user.
